No, a .mobi domain name is not required. A third level domain will be provided automatically for you. However, if you purchase a mobile website powered by dotMobi™ any domain can be used with your site. Free Trial customers will use the auto-generated third level domain.
I already own a domain. Can I use it with my mobile website?
The mobile website comes with a custom uk.web.com domain. If you already own an existing domain and purchase a mobile website powered by dotMobi™ you can point it to your mobile site. Free Trial customers will use the auto-generated third level domain.
